概述   

The 全球参与中心 (GEC) holds international student 取向 每学期招收新生. 这 取向 is required and is separated into two parts. 第一个是在黑板上, 虚拟平台, to allow students to learn some important information before arriving to campus. 另外, we will hold an in-person session on campus to clarify expectations and build community. 提供午餐. 国际学生 取向 (模块)

 黑板上 module access will be available by August 1^st. 完整的虚拟 取向 8月13日之前的模块^th, 2023. 

部分国际学生 取向 is delivered on 黑板上, as a series of modules. 请参考以下步骤: 

• ​步骤1:  Use your SHSU username and password to log into http://shsu.黑板上.com. 我们建议参加黑板上之旅. 这 is the platform that SHSU uses for all course content.

• 步骤3: On the left-hand side of the screen, you will find a tab titled "Modules". 点击它. 
• 步骤4: In the Modules section, find Module 1 and click on it. 
• 步骤5: Watch Module 1 (each module is 5-15 minutes long) and at the end, you will be prompted to complete a short quiz. 
• 步骤6完成测试. You are required to get a score of 80% or higher on each quiz to move to the next module. 
• 步骤7: Complete Module 2 + quiz, Module 3 + quiz, and so on... 总共有12个模块.    

注意: 取向 does not have to be completed in one sitting. 

Failure to complete all 12 modules and quizzes by January 16^th will result in a registration hold being placed on your account.  

机场接送 

 We are offering airport pick-up to new incoming international students (如果是从美国以外的地方来的.S.) 先到先得. Please note that pick-up is only for students arriving at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) and is only offered on specific dates. 你的航班必须在下午4点前到达.m. 才有资格去机场接机.

                   安排住宿: T在这里 are many great housing options in Huntsville, 但它们很快就会被填满, so we recommend that you secure housing for Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 as early as possible.
