SHSU-COM received full accreditation status from the Commission on 整骨疗法的 College 认证 (COCA) in April of 2024. SHSU-COM was awarded '认证 with Exceptional Outcome' which provides 10 years of accreditation and is the highest status that can be achieved.  For more information on COCA accreditation or to file a complaint with the accrediting body, 请访问 http://osteopathic.org/accreditation/

SHSU-COM’s Doctor of 整骨疗法的 Medicine (DO) program was reviewed and approved by the following entities:

• The Commission on 整骨疗法的 College 认证 (COCA) – the AOA’s accreditation body as codified in 34 CFR §602, ensuring that all COMs have met or exceed the Commission’s Standards for educational quality;
• The Southern Association of 大学 and Schools Commission on 大学 (SACSCOC) – the regional body for the accreditation of degree-granting higher education institutions in the Southern states; and
• The Texas Higher 教育 Coordinating Board – a Texas agency that oversees all public post-secondary education in the state.
