取向 helps new students become familiar with services and programs vital to their successful transition as fully active members of the 山姆 Houston State University community. These one-day sessions collaborate with other university offices and departments to assist students in gaining the skills, 信息, and meaningful relationships that are key to successful long-term academic and personal outcomes.

• All incoming freshmen will complete 学术 Advising and 登记 at 取向.
• All 2023-2024 high school graduates are REQUIRED to attend orientation regardless of transfer hours acquired.
• Transfer students are strongly encouraged to take part in an orientation session, however it is not required.

All incoming students receive a personalized 取向 registration link through their SHSU 学生 Email and via text. 请电子邮件 orientation@cooldiy.net with any questions or concerns regarding your registration 信息.

Dates will open for registration in chronological order. Later sessions will not be released for registration until earlier sessions have filled.
